As you may or may not know, I was planning to complete something called “Part Of A Tri Everyday In July” See here.
While working for the last 4 weeks at 60 hours a week.
Within the last 10 days some health issues have been noticed by myself.
Just over ten days ago I noticed some blood in my urine, so I went to see my GP, he took some blood and a urine sample and put me on a course of antibiotics.
After the course had finish there was not too much blood in my urine. But after work on Friday night (22nd) I ran home as normal, got home and just blood came when I went.
I Rang my Mum, and she said get yourself down to Charing Cross hospital (The Hospital where I was treated for my cancer) A&E.
They were very quick to see me, they took 3 lots of blood and a urine sample.
After 1 1/2 hours I was told i was ok to go home, they said that many runners get this problem, but they would get me a appointment with a specialist.
I have a specialist appointment on Tuesday 2nd August.
So I have been instructed to take the next few day steady and see what happens.
I have Googled the issue I have and it is not uncommon, some say it could be due to dehydration.
With regards to my next event The London Triathlon,I am going to see what happens in the next 4 days……
I hope to still be able to compete though.
